Tine's Christmas Gift: The cast of Anchorman (Ron Burgundy, Champ Kind, Brian Fantana, Brick Tamland and Lamp) painted on Nesting Dolls. Lots of fun to do...
Boogie Down Box
This playset came about from living in New York City and being around its dance culture. Each section represents different places where you might see people dancing: the practice studio, the club scene, the subway, even in front of a bodega. It even folds into a nice boombox! (I'm looking at YOU, fellow 80's kids!)
Friends featured: Erik Otto, Jimbo, Scott, Ephrat, Hanna, Cam, Tine. Also Ferris Bueller and Mr. T (who I don't know personally) and myself (who I know sorta well).
Also, thanks to everyone who suggested a name for the playset!
Dexter Duncan
This character is based on the fictional city of Armilla from Italo Calvino's "Invisible Cities". Dexter Duncan is the Mr. Fix-it of a deteriorating city--a repairman, plumber, crimefighter.I imagined him being created in a similar vein to the BrothersFree toys, using real materials (cloth, metal, rubber) and having a TON of accessories while also being fully poseable. Oh, and he has a trumpet too. . . and suction cups. . . because toys are always cooler when they hang.
Sixteen Tines (and one big one)
Made for Tine's birthday. My foray into the Munny world was pretty fun I must say, and it seemed go over well with the homies.
Tine's blog: http://tinemachine.blogspot.comAnd a big thanks to the girls at SpaceCraft for all their help! Be sure to drop in if you're ever in Williamsburg...
Qu'est-ce que c'est?
If you don't know, stay tuned. However, if you DO know, SHHhhhhh....
Snap-A-Jeep

The project was to create a toy vehicle. I based mine on the Jeepney--the Philippines' answer to mass transit coupled with crazy customization. Shown here is the final presentation piece as well as some brainstorming/development.
