Cahuenga General Store

I did this paint study at Cahuenga General Store over the weekend. It's a beautifully designed restaurant/cafe that feels like it was plucked from the old days. From old baskets and pots and pans hanging to the vintage products and pot belly stove. It's a really cool spot that I'd highly suggest checking out if you're in North Hollywood.

Lifeboard studies for the week of 7-22-12

At Swork Cafe in Eagle Rock

At Porto's in Burbank

At Hollywood Forever Cemetery to watch 1978's "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"

Color board inspired by the movie

Dance practice in LA

Here are the next set of my latest "LifeBoard" studies (storyboards based on things I've experienced.) Hope you guys and gals out in the internets enjoy these!

On-location stuff in Los Angeles

Hello to whoever follows my blog. Sorry I haven't updated in a while, but here's a bunch of on-location stuff I've done for a digital painting class I've been taking. Currently trying to sharpen my eye and skills--always looking to get better!

And also, if you'd like to follow my progress, I'm now on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.

Cheers!

Kick. Stand. Still, Life.

Study of a still life for a class I'm taking.  Replacing digital paint heebie jeebies with digital paint mileage.
