The Little Red Hen

This illustration is based on the children's story, "The Little Red Hen." In it, the hen does all the work around the house while the other two are lazy and just sit around. I thought it'd be fun to put them in the fashion and settings of 1920's.

Triangle (composition) Below Canal

Also known as TriBeCa, where we had brunch Sunday morning. I love(d) coming down here--especially when I used to live much closer--because it's one of the more calming places in the city. Slightly more sophisticated than other places in Manhattan without being snobby. Everyone's comfortable and visibly less stressed out (or that could be due to the mimosas).

Riding bikes, pushing strollers, walking dogs, brunching--sure these things mix together in other neighborhoods, but only a few other places feel like TriBeCa...

Kendall vs. Dryer Monster

Here's a painted sketch of my niece, Kendall, versus the other monster from the laundry room. The monsters were created to answer the age old question: "What happened to my other sock?"

All Good Living Kids

Last year, I created some designs for "All Good Living Kids," a Bay Area, California-based kids clothing company.

They just released their 2011 Spring/Summer promo video can be seen here. The "Lucy's Balloon" design can be seen at 1:16, 1:48, and various places throughout.

Buena Vista Subway Club

I saw this guy at the subway station--he reminded of the singer, Ibrahim Ferrer, of Buena Vista Social Club fame.
