One of my New Year's resolutions...











is to travel somewhere out of the ordinary at least once a month. I spent New Year's up north in Washington. It was beautifully calm up there. What was that saying--"Contrast is the meaning of life"? Indeed.

It's been a while...in more ways than one...













Anyway, here's a sketch; painting is in progress.

I've realized a few things working on this:
1. I've been playing too much of the Wii™.
2. Looks a little bit like Bald Bull of "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out" fame.
3. I should be playing less of the Wii™...
4. I'm still very much a Nintendo-head at heart...

More development on Octavia, the city made of rope. The first two images are of the "heart", necessary for the constant rebuilding of a decaying city. "Pods" connect to the heart and simultaneously act as workplaces and living quarters.
